Class 4/09

Read Ch. 4, pp. 401-504

For activity credit, do this tutorial and post a render to your blog by next class:
  1. Create a 3D object.
  2. Download and use a bitmap of a sky to create an Environment Map
  3. Put a plane under your object and give it a sand texture.
  4. Create a new material and name it Glass. This is for your 3D object.
  5. Ambient and Diffuse colors should be black.
  6. Specular: 275
  7. Glossiness: 45
  8. Opacity: 50, then give it a Map of type Falloff, with Falloff Type "Fresnel"
  9. Refraction: 80, Map of type Raytrace
  10. Under the Parent material, open the Supersampling section and Enable it, giving it the type Max 2.5 Star
